This week we rolled out a handful of improvement to My Music Staff. Here’s the breakdown on what’s new:
Practice Log – We’ve added a new “Practice Log” to the student portal. Your students can now track their practice time week over week and leave you notes as they practice. As a teacher you can view the log entries on the student details page. In the coming weeks we’ll be working to incorporate the practice log information into the daily agenda.
Improved Help – We’ve completed redesigned in the on-site help. Now each page has a “?” button on the top right hand corner of the screen. When clicked it opens a context sensitive help screen. If you get stuck at any time, click that button for more information about the page you’re on.
Website Improvements – You can now assign your own background image to your My Music Staff website. Before you had to choose one of our stock images, but that is now gone! You can still use our stock images if you want, but if you’ve got a different image you’d prefer you can upload it to your Media Gallery, then use it as the wall paper. (We also added a nifty “Tile” option for true wallpaper background.)
Invoicing Changes – We made a few tweaks to the invoicing feature in My Music Staff. You can now specify the Invoice Date that’s displayed on your PDFs. In the past My Music Staff selected the date based on the invoice period. Now you choose the invoice date along with the start and end dates for the invoice period. We also changed the way students who are on fixed monthly billing work to make it possible to bill these students in advance.
