We’ve rolled out some exciting updates this month, including a highly requested feature, teacher imports! You can now easily add multiple teachers at once using a CSV or Excel file, making setup faster and more efficient than ever. Check out more updates below!
Student Management
- Past lesson attachments now show on the Attendance History tab, because history without receipts is just gossip
- In a family with both adult and child students, moving the only adult out of the family will no longer move the child’s charges with it
- Assigning a group tag in Student Details was turning everything gray. Color has been restored.
- You can now add up to five additional recipients to an email instead of the previous limit of four
- You can no longer add two group tags with the same name, but if you already had twin group tags then you’ll no longer get an error when trying to use both
- Newly added students now appear instantly, no refresh required. Revolutionary.
- You can now add a payment method while creating a student. One less thing to circle back to.
- Student & Parent login columns have been merged into one clean “Portal Access” column
- We added an additional “are you sure” warning before changing the status of a teacher or student
Teachers & Staff
- Teachers can now be imported in bulk using a CSV or Excel file
- Non-admins can no longer save lesson note templates for that are meant for all teachers
- Teachers can no longer see students they aren’t assigned to in the Lending Library
- Creating a teacher with a duplicate email no longer freezes the drawer after the warning. We now panic with dignity.
Calendar & Attendance
- Deleting all locations no longer removes the option entirely from events
- We fixed a bug where selecting “Paid at Lesson” before switching the attendance to something other than “Present” would prevent the form from working
- The email/SMS reminder dropdown now sorts chronologically instead of alphabetically
Families & Invoices
- Invoices no longer save the most recently used settings after an extended period of time
- We fixed an issue that was preventing the invoice date field from resetting after generating an invoice (no more “why does it still say Tuesday?”)
- Selecting “Save & Another” after adding a transaction no longer carries forward the recurring charge selection
Expenses, Revenue & Reporting
- Revenue & Expenses report now remembers your selected payee when you repeat a report
- The New Category page in Expenses now appears as a slide-in window instead of a new page
- Make-Up Credit reports now clearly distinguish between students and teachers
- Make-Up Credit reports weren’t displaying credits that were issued outside of taking attendance. They’re showing up now.
Online Booking/Student Portal
- Make-up credit limits now stop reschedules before users go into the negatives. Math remains undefeated.
- Online booking now displays an error when maximum gap is set to 0, which is better than silently pretending that makes sense
- Rescheduling lessons in the Student Portal was causing problems, but now students can now reschedule stress-free
- We fixed an issue that was causing the Student Portal homepage to show the incorrect date
General/Other
- Clicking away from a multi-step form will no longer lose your progress
- Overrides, including payroll & lesson price, now double check whether you’ve added a number to the field properly (blank is not a number, nice try)
- The image that displays when you have no blog posts (blog empty-state image) no longer looks like it should be clickable. No more mixed signals.
- Mobile shortcuts weren’t linking to the app correctly, but we got them working again.
- Using the teacher’s phone number placeholder in general event reminders now uses the studio number instead of the admin’s personal number
- Sales tax can now be edited without having to manually update lessons that “Specify price per student”. Flexibility restored.
- Conversion tracking on external sign-up forms wasn’t triggering when payments were enabled. It’s now back on track.
- Repertoire entries in the Student Portal now appear as a slide-in window instead of a new page
- Various cosmetic tweaks throughout
