This week, we&#8217;ve been focusing on two other integrations requested by our members: Zoom and FaceTime! These integrations will allow for seamless online teaching with MMS.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Here&#8217;s how to get your studio set up for online lessons:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"color: #2fa6df; font-weight: bold;\">Zoom<\/h4>\n<style>.embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }<\/style>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pqtJOVvbU9s\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Zoom is a popular video conferencing platform that you can use to teach private lessons and group lessons. First you&#8217;ll need to <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sign up with Zoom<\/a> if you don&#8217;t already have an account. Then, add your Personal Meeting ID to My Music Staff. Click here for <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mymusicstaff.com\/en\/articles\/839\">single teacher studio instructions<\/a> and here for <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mymusicstaff.com\/en\/articles\/838\">multi-teacher studio instructions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you&#8217;ll need to add lessons to your Calendar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to the \u201c<strong>Calendar<\/strong>\u201d from the main menu on the left<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201c<strong>Categories<\/strong>\u201d button above the calendar<\/li>\n<li>Select the\u00a0<strong>\u201cLocations\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0tab and click the\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Add Location&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>button<\/li>\n<li>Give your new location a name and choose an icon to represent this location<\/li>\n<li>Choose the &#8220;<strong>Zoom Meeting<\/strong>&#8221; option<\/li>\n<li>When scheduling a lesson, choose the appropriate location from the &#8220;<strong>Location<\/strong>&#8221; drop-down menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can begin your Zoom meeting by clicking the location from the event details or from your Home Agenda by clicking the Zoom Meeting\u00a0button. Students can join the Zoom meeting by clicking the link in the Student Portal Calendar, or the link in their email reminder.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0The Zoom Basic plan\u00a0has a 40-minute time limit on meetings with 3 or more participants.<\/em><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"color: #2fa6df; font-weight: bold;\">FaceTime<\/h4>\n<style>.embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }<\/style>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jBZ1-C4HkL0\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>To get started, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mymusicstaff.com\/en\/articles\/842-how-do-i-record-a-students-facetime-id\">add the student&#8217;s FaceTime ID<\/a> to their profile. Once you&#8217;ve recorded this, you can\u00a0schedule your FaceTime lessons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to the \u201c<strong>Calendar<\/strong>\u201d from the main menu on the left<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201c<strong>Categories<\/strong>\u201d button above the calendar<\/li>\n<li>Select the \u201c<strong>Locations<\/strong>\u201d tab and click the &#8220;<strong>Add Location<\/strong>&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li>Give your new location a name and choose an icon to represent this location<\/li>\n<li>Choose the &#8220;<strong>FaceTime Lesson<\/strong>&#8221; option<\/li>\n<li>When scheduling a lesson, choose the appropriate location from the &#8220;<strong>Location<\/strong>&#8221; drop-down menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To begin your FaceTime lesson, call by clicking the location from the event details on the Calendar or from your Home Agenda.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> FaceTime is only compatible with iOS and MacOS. Both the teacher and student must be using an Apple device\u00a0(iPhone, iPad, Mac).<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"color: #2fa6df; font-weight: bold;\">Skype<\/h4>\n<style>.embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }<\/style>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gK_rIiuVDdM\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Our Skype integration was announced in our recent blog update, along with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/online-music-lessons-mms\">comprehensive guide to transitioning your studio online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have entered your students\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.mymusicstaff.com\/en\/articles\/827\">Skype usernames<\/a>\u00a0in their Student Details, here&#8217;s what you need to do to get set up with MMS and Skype:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Calendar and select \u201c<strong>Categories<\/strong>\u201d from the toolbar<\/li>\n<li>Select the Locations tab and click \u201c<strong>Add Location<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Name your new location (Ex. Online Lesson), select \u201c<strong>Online Skype Lesson<\/strong>\u201d from the address list and click save<\/li>\n<li>When you schedule a lesson with the new location for online Skype lessons the location name will be clickable<\/li>\n<li>Clicking on it will open Skype and automatically call that student<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>My Music Staff is here to help!
