Today, we&#8217;re releasing two highly requested features: segmenting the student list by status and a new sign-up widget (beta). Check out the details below!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2da8e0;\"><strong>Cool new features:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Student List<\/strong> page has changed! <strong>Waiting Students &amp; Leads<\/strong> are no longer located at the bottom of this page; instead, there is a new toolbar item on the right to change what\u2019s visible. You can select Active, Inactive, Waiting, Leads and\u2026Trial.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Studentstatus.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"392\" \/><\/li>\n<li>New \u201c<b>Trial\u00a0Student<\/b>&#8221;\u00a0status. A trialing student is functionally the same as an <strong>Active<\/strong> student but provides a way to segment your student list so you can easily identify which students haven\u2019t yet committed to lessons for the long term.<\/li>\n<li>Custom gender options for non-binary students. This feature must be enabled in your <strong>Studio Settings<\/strong>. Once enabled, you\u2019ll see an option beside Male\/Female options to provide an alternate entry.<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue with the <strong>Practice Log<\/strong> stats that we introduced in the last update. If a student practices more than 24 hours (woohoo!) the total no longer rolls over at the 24-hour mark.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2da8e0;\"><strong>Other big news<\/strong>:<\/span> Today, we\u2019re beginning beta testing a <strong>new Sign-Up widget<\/strong>! The new widget features a number of usability improvements over the current widget, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More modern look and feel with colors that can be customized to match your site\u2019s look and feel.<\/li>\n<li>Multiple students can now be enrolled at the same time.<\/li>\n<li>Custom fields can now be configured to be asked once per form, or once per student (since multiple students can be enrolled at the same time).<\/li>\n<li>If your studio enables custom genders, students or parents can specify this on the form.<\/li>\n<li>We now use the invisible re-captcha so that parents and students won\u2019t get stumped by this when the fill out your sign-up form.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/widgetv3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"588\" height=\"710\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/widgetv3.png 588w, https:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/widgetv3-248x300.png 248w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 588px) 100vw, 588px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/tJwpyLzh8m4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for a quick video preview of the new sign-up widget!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to help us beta test the new widget, please email\u00a0<a class=\"sc-fAfrNB dJEQfX\" title=\"mailto:support@mymusicstaff.com\" href=\"mailto:support@mymusicstaff.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support@mymusicstaff.com<\/a>\u00a0and we\u2019ll enable this in your account!<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, we\u2019ve included some new features in the current sign-up widget as well (also available in the new widget):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students can now be automatically set to <strong>Trialing<\/strong> (instead of just lead\/waiting\/active).<\/li>\n<li>A confirmation email can be sent to the parents when the sign-up form is completed. A new email template for this is available in your <strong>Studio Settings<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s now a standard field for collecting the student&#8217;s school.
