Since our last update, we put out a call to our members looking for beta testers for the upgraded version of My Music Staff. The response was amazing and we&rsquo;re so appreciative of the amazing music teachers in our community who wanted to participate. We&rsquo;ve been continuously adding more and more teachers based on different criteria, so while we can&rsquo;t guarantee that every member who applied to be a tester will be selected, there&rsquo;s still time! Our beta testers have been actively using the new experience on their live account and reporting back with their feedback, suggestions, and any bugs they discover. We&rsquo;ve been collecting and reviewing all the feedback, and have been hard at work making improvements! Here&rsquo;s a list of updates from July:<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #2da8e0;\">First, in the classic version:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We fixed an issue where mileage for the last day of the month wasn\u2019t displaying<\/li>\n<li>We fixed a bug with the email button in Families &amp; Invoices &gt; Invoices that would incorrectly send all invoices if none were selected<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue in the Student Portal where the Practice Log timer was being blocked by another banner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #2da8e0;\">Beta experience updates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calendar &amp; Attendance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We added a visual cue to calendar events so you can easily see at a glance which lessons still have remaining open spots \u2013 the <strong>solid<\/strong> line on an event indicates the lesson is full and the <strong>dashed<\/strong> line indicates there are still open spots remaining<\/li>\n<li>You can now add new repertoire entries from the attendance page<\/li>\n<li>When taking bulk attendance, it now anchors to top of page<\/li>\n<li>We updated the attendance status labels to be consistent with the Classic version<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where no email was sent to a student when recording a payment along with their overdue attendance<\/li>\n<li>When editing attendance, you can now undo the accidental deletion of a linked online resource by canceling out of the attendance page<\/li>\n<li>You can now select the payment method when recording a payment while taking attendance<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve updated the calendar week start so it matches your region settings<\/li>\n<li>In a single teacher studio, you\u2019ll no longer see the teacher name on every event (since you know you\u2019re the one who\u2019s going to be teaching it!)<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where the first day of the week was missing on the calendar for non-English languages<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue with the calendar where the default start time set in the calendar preferences was not being applied to the calendar view<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where printing the week view of the calendar gave an error if the week selected was not an even week<\/li>\n<li>The calendar Timeline view now groups teachers by instruments<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where a teacher\u2019s availability wasn\u2019t correctly displaying when that teacher had multiple time ranges of availability set for the same day (i.e. Wednesdays, 8:00AM-11:00AM and 5:00PM-7:00PM)<\/li>\n<li>The calendar sync now opens up in a new tab<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where previously saved lesson notes were not appearing right away while editing the event<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue that reported calendar conflicts for an entire recurring series of events instead of just the one being adjusted<\/li>\n<li>The pop-up when editing make-up credits now shows teacher\/student combinations that are unassigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Families &amp; Invoices<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The auto-invoicing status (enabled\/disabled) is now visible in Family Account<\/li>\n<li>The Repeat Frequency now displays under the Auto-Invoice Settings column on Families &amp; Invoices<\/li>\n<li>When editing a family\u2019s auto-invoicing settings, the dialog will now show by default what the previous settings were instead of going back to the original system defaults<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue on mobile where the Family Account name wasn\u2019t displaying in the dropdown while viewing their account<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve removed the ability to sort some irrelevant columns in some areas of Families &amp; Invoices, Business Reports, and Students<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve added the Next Invoice Balance information to the Auto-Invoice Settings column<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve added the ability to insert images when composing an email in the Send Invoice dialog<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where the placeholders in the Send Invoice email template weren\u2019t populating when you manually created an invoice but didn\u2019t immediately email it<\/li>\n<li>We added a message to confirm the action when you void an invoice<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where the student selection was not saving when adding a charge to a specific Family Account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Business Features<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve fixed an issue caused when copying &amp; pasting currency amounts that included a group separator<\/li>\n<li>You can now edit a recurring charge to make it non-recurring<\/li>\n<li>You can now add a new expense or other revenue entry when there aren\u2019t any displaying in the currently selected date range<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve updated the Revenue &amp; Expenses report so it now loads teachers with payroll entries as Payees<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve added a notes column to Mileage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Learning Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We updated the text in the message\/button when unassigning repertoire to help with clarity<\/li>\n<li>You can now create a new lending library item without lending it to a student at that time<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll now see the Date Returned when selecting an item in the Lending library history<\/li>\n<li>Practice Log attachments can now be downloaded from the Teacher Portal<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve updated Online Resources to allow for both uploading files and creating folders<\/li>\n<li>The Description column for Online Resources is now visible<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve added the Download Log feature back to Online Resources<\/li>\n<li>When adding a new lending item, the Date Lent field now defaults to today\u2019s date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Multi-Teacher<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019re now able to add &amp; edit payroll attachments directly from the payroll table<\/li>\n<li>We updated the teacher privileges so the privileges listed under \u201cManage Other Teachers\u201d are correctly linked together<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where teachers who are not administrators couldn\u2019t opt out of the beta experience (now they can!)<\/li>\n<li>We removed the Payroll report type and Event Profit report type from single teacher account (since they don\u2019t have access to the multi-teacher features necessary to create those reports!)<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where a teacher without the Manage Other Teacher Schedules &amp; Students privilege were still receiving email notifications about other teachers\u2019 students registering or cancelling events (provided they had those notifications enabled in their Preferences)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General\/Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can now download attachments in Message History<\/li>\n<li>We moved some fields from the student details Personal tab to their profile card<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue where the \u201cLog Out of All Devices\u201d button under My Preferences would sometimes freeze<\/li>\n<li>When the last item in a table is deleted, the table will now load the previous page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong> If you have any questions or require assistance with your account, please contact our support team at <a href=\"mailto:support@mymusicstaff.com\">support@mymusicstaff.com<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;besides terrible puns of course!
