I know it&rsquo;s not as exciting and glamorous as a new feature, but our development team is hard at work making big changes behind the scenes. We&rsquo;re trying to make sure that the scenery doesn&rsquo;t fall down! Everything will work much more smoothly and efficiently very soon, but in the meantime here are some fixes we&rsquo;ve made:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2da8e0;\"><strong>Sign-Up Widget fixerinos:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For users using the new <strong>Sign-Up<\/strong> widget, we\u2019ve fixed a minor issue that would cause the cursor to jump to the bottom of the form when filling out any text field. This problem was limited to Microsoft Edge users only.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Sign-Up<\/strong> widget email and contact form emails now include the IP address of the person who submitted the form. We\u2019ve added this information to help us troubleshoot users who are experiencing chronic <strong>Contact Form<\/strong> spam.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve updated the way the <strong>Sign-Up<\/strong> widget (both old and new versions) handles email addresses. If a parent enters their email address as the student&rsquo;s email (but it\u2019s not an adult student), we\u2019ll ignore the entry in the \u00ab\u00a0Student Email Address\u00a0\u00bb field automatically to avoid future confusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2da8e0;\"><strong>Online Resources got a bit of a buff &amp; shine too:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve updated the way <strong>Online Resources<\/strong> display on mobile devices. Now the file\u2019s description is displayed (if available) instead of just the filename, making it easier to see what was uploaded. This was particularly problematic when adding photos or video shot on a phone because you don\u2019t get the option to set the filename. If you provide a description when uploading files, it should be much more clear which file you&rsquo;ve selected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2da8e0;\"><strong>For multi-teacher studios:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve fixed a minor issue with the new <strong>Sign-Up<\/strong> widget that could cause an error to be displayed if no preferred teacher was specified for multi-teacher studios. This issue only affected studios with multiple teachers who had the \u201cPreferred Teacher\u201d option turned on, AND the person submitting the form would have to select \u201cNo Preferred Teacher\u201d to generate the error message.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Did you know?\u00a0<\/strong>You can now add YouTube to the list of social links on your My Music Staff-hosted website!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\">\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you require technical assistance, please contact our support team at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:support@mymusicstaff.com\">support@mymusicstaff.com<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Because we&rsquo;re brewing BIG THINGS here at My Music Staff!
