{"id":24673,"date":"2016-02-16T16:00:16","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T21:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/?p=24673"},"modified":"2016-02-16T16:00:16","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T21:00:16","slug":"attendance-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/fr\/attendance-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"Attendance Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24693 size-full\" title=\"February 16, 2016 Weekly Updated - My Music Staff\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/mms-blog-Feb-16-2016.png\" alt=\"February 16, 2016 Weekly Updated - My Music Staff\" width=\"484\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/mms-blog-Feb-16-2016.png 484w, https:\/\/www.mymusicstaff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/mms-blog-Feb-16-2016-300x157.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 484px) 100vw, 484px\" \/><br \/>\nHi Everyone,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s what\u2019s new and improved this week:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On your home page agenda there is now an option at the bottom of the agenda to <strong>set the attendance for all lessons at once<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you set attendance for all lessons at once (either as overdue attendance, or from the home page agenda), and select \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Present<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, My Music Staff will automatically switch it to \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Present, Use Make-Up Credit<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb for lessons that are scheduled as make-ups.<\/li>\n<li>The calendar has two new options (located on your My Preferences page):\n<ul>\n<li>You can now <strong>turn off days of the week on your calendar to save space<\/strong>. For example, if you studio is closed Saturday and Sunday, you can now hide these days to save some screen space.<\/li>\n<li>In \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Month<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb view mode, there is an option to condense each calendar item to a single line (like Google Calendar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We fixed an issue that could cause group lessons to be changed to open make-up slots if a single student canceled their attendance. Now the group lesson remains a group lesson unless ALL student&rsquo;s cancel (as expected). The lesson will be switched to a make-up slot at that point, and only if your Studio Policy allows it.<\/li>\n<li>Building on last week&rsquo;s changes: When you take attendance, if you select the \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Student Paid At Lesson<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb option, you now see a Payment Method drop-down list if you&rsquo;re studio is using the payment methods feature.<\/li>\n<li>If you use the printable \u00ab\u00a0Daily Agenda\u00a0\u00bb report (from the Calendar page), last week&rsquo;s lesson notes now appear in the same font as the rest of the report.<\/li>\n<li>If you&rsquo;re using the Microsoft Edge browser, the \u00ab\u00a0<strong>&lt;\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0&gt;<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb buttons on the calendar now display correctly.<\/li>\n<li>If you&rsquo;re using the Microsoft Edge browser, you should now be able to view reports in your browser as expected.<\/li>\n<li>The \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Back to Studio\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> link inside the \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Student Portal<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb was not working correctly for some studios, this is fixed.<\/li>\n<li>The Daily Agenda email now includes the family&rsquo;s account balance if you have the \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Show Family Balance on Agenda<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb option turned on. (Prior to this change that setting only affected the home page agenda.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For Multi-teacher studios:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports that group by teacher (such as the Calendar, Daily Agenda, etc.) now order the teacher by last name, first name.<\/li>\n<li>We back tracked a bit on a change we made last week: Non-admin teachers (in multi-teacher studios) can once again record payments made at the lesson, but the payment amount field does NOT auto-populate with the lesson price, so that information is not disclosed. If you&rsquo;re an admin, the price box still auto-populates the way it always did.<\/li>\n<li>We adjusted the layout of the \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Payroll<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb report so that the column headings line up correctly in Excel\/CSV mode.<\/li>\n<li>The calendar pop-up menu no longer shows the options to Add Events to teachers who are not allowed to edit their schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We hope you enjoy this week\u2019s updates. Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 The My Music Staff Team<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Did you know?\u00a0<\/strong>When setting the attendance for a lesson that\u2019s marked \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Make-Up Credit Required<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, only the \u201c<strong>Present, Make-Up<\/strong>\u201d option is visible for present (if the student actually has a make-up credit). This is to help prevent teachers from accidentally NOT using make-up credits.
