Time to Banish Some Ghosts đź‘»

These updates may be from October, but don’t let them spook you! We’re banishing ghosts and providing makeovers & speed boosts to make your experience the best it can be! Check it out below!

Student Management

  • We cut the clutter and now the « Email Selected Users » replaces the « New Email » button after selecting multiple teachers or students
  • We stopped sign-up forms from failing when payment details are collected but no payment is collected
  • When a student has three teachers and one is removed, that third teacher was hanging around the « View All » column. Three’s a crowd though so we made sure that’s fixed.
  • Leaving the lesson duration blank when updating prices in bulk no longer causes an error
  • When clicking « Save & Duplicate » on a group tag we now announce that a tag has been added

Teachers & Staff

  • The process of adding a new teacher got a full makeover and now appears as a slide-in window instead of a new page
  • We fixed the button that lets you add a new location while you’re adding teacher availability

Calendar & Attendance

  • Google finally came through on fixing their calendar sync issue, which means our Google calendar sync is back to normal!
  • After changing the amount of displayed events in calendar preferences, this stays updated and doesn’t get reset after refreshing
  • ICS links weren’t getting along with Safari or Kukini, but we got them all talking again
  • We added the ICS calendar link (to sync your calendar) to even more locations
  • Editing locations was a struggle on 3G connections, but it’s in better shape now
  • Several tags in the Group Select menu in an event’s Attendees field were being shy, but we’ve pulled them out of hiding

Families & Invoices

  • Inactive families were causing issues with selecting groups to assign transactions to, but we banished those ghosts
  • Speaking of ghosts, adding a bulk charge to each student in a family would also add a charge to the inactive students, but we banished those too!
  • Partial payments were marking invoices as paid but we put an end to that
  • The account balance updates much quicker now after adding a new transaction
  • When adding a new charge and hitting « Save and Add Another » it will now keep the date the same so you don’t have to re-enter it

Online Resources

  • Our online resources were having abandonment issues – If an assigned student became inactive it would act out when trying to add or remove new students
  • The online resources would also act out when choosing to add them to a group tag without following through on selecting a group tag by sending itself to all students instead. Both of these issues have been fixed.
  • When you edit an online resource from the search results list, editing a file won’t also clear the search results anymore

General/Other

  • Speed boost to loading time was applied to multiple pages, including transactions, family info, categories, locations & more!
  • Go ahead, change it up! There’s no more issues with updating your profile photo
  • We clarified the wording on some of our warning messages
  • When adding a payment method to PayPal, we now double check the details before submitting instead of after submitting. Zero clicks is better than 1 click!
  • Adding an expense entry from a photo or PDF and then deleting the photo before saving was confusing the software, but we got it back on track
  • Adding a revenue entry from a photo or PDF was also getting stuck, but we broke it out of the loop
  • Trying to set a maximum gap between lessons that’s shorter than the minimum (buffer) gap? We now give you a heads up!
  • Various cosmetic tweaks throughout
